Alcohol Rehab for Families in Harare
Assessment in Harare or by video, then safe detox and residential treatment in Cape Town.
Harare families often reach out after years of trying to manage a loved one's drinking at home. By the time they call, the drinking usually starts earlier in the day, work is suffering, and stopping on their own has failed more than once.
We offer an assessment in Harare or by video, then admission to our residential clinic in Cape Town for medically supervised alcohol withdrawal and a full therapeutic programme.

Why alcohol detox should not happen at home
Stopping heavy drinking abruptly can cause seizures and delirium tremens, which can be life-threatening. Detox at Hillhouse is supervised by nurses around the clock and reviewed by a doctor daily, usually over five to seven days.
From Harare to Cape Town
Once the assessment is done, we agree an admission date and help the family plan the journey. Many families choose to accompany their loved one on the flight; we can collect clients from Cape Town airport.
After treatment
Before discharge, we agree a written relapse-prevention plan, identify support available in Harare, and stay in contact through online aftercare for twelve months.
